Changes to the blog

Words cannot begin to express my disgust in a comment that someone posted early this morning. I have removed the offensive comment and have changed the blog settings to require a blog account in order to post comments. If this doesnt work, I will make comments by invitation only.

To the person who posted the comment, I cannot believe the insenitivity of the question you asked and it just goes to show you have no idea of what my family has been through. My only hope is that God will speak to your heart and you will repent for such a stupid and insenitive question that does not even deserve being answered.

To all of you that have shown such great support, I can only say I am sorry for having to make this kind of change, but I will do whatever I have to protect my family and their feelings.

Dear Gordy & Sue, my heart hurts as I read how someone said some hurtful things. I joined the blog just so I could keep up with Luke. I thank you for allowing my family to walk along side yours ... as we pray for you and talk about you in our daily lives. As others have said... my children ask about Luke.. want to know about Luke... are praying for Luke. Please keep our email just in case you have to go to only by invitation because we sure want to continue to hear and pray right along with all the rest. May God continue to strength Luke and all of you. I will check back later...
all our love,

Hello, I've been following your blog for a while, found it on someone else's blog. I don't think that person meant to sound harsh or rude in their question, maybe they just wanted to know what happened. Yes, I did catch that comment before it was deleted. It's no one's fault, and it's great Luke is doing well. It's a miracle that he lived through that experience and I'm sure you all appreciate more time with him. I hope he continues to get better in his progress, and that while they're changing his medications over he doesn't have anymore seizures.

Gordy, and Sue--
I am sorry you had to read an offensive comment. I signed up because I want you to know that we are praying for Luke and your family. I also want you to know how very impressed we are with the grace you and your family has shown in the face of such difficulties.
Blessings.

Dear Gordy and Sue, I emailed you last night then accidently hit the trash can and deleted the whole thing!!!! I was too tired to rewrite. We have grown to love your sweet family so much and a day doesn't go by that we don't pray for precious Luke and your family. As I have written in the past my precious nephew Zander went to be with Jesus in May 2003.(drowning) So my heart fell too, when I read that comment. In the last year and a half the Lord has taught my sister and brother in law to use grace with people like never before. Innocent comments and questions were made, leaving them with many different feelings. (I am NOT referring to the question left as innocent, because that was not done with a heart of love). Other people avoided them and dropped them as friends. God has provided the sweetest body of Christ that has held them up with love. It is very evident you and your wife are very spiritually mature in your walk with Christ. BUT at a time like this I know you must feel very vulnerable. Remember we stand before God and Not man. I so agree with the comments made about the spiritual warfare that we face. This site is so glorifying to our Savior and the enemy is not a happy camper. Your family radiates Christ, stay focused on Truth and don't give the enemy one ounce of your energy. We love you and are praying CF in AZ

Gordy and Sue, you just hang in there and keep on doing what you are doing. God has given Luke to you and will continue to heal him. I pray for him everyday and have all of my online friends praying for him as well. His story is now circling the globe. Know that you are not alone in this!

God Bless,

Hello,
you don't know me but i have been reading on your blog about your little boy Luke and how you are coping so much with what has happened to him and your whole family.
i am not a Christian really...God wouldn't like what i do and i really am not good enough or have enough faith but i believe in God and sometimes i pray... I have been praying for Luke and Your family. i'm not sure if my prayer...being a really bad prayer...will do anything but i still pray sometimes for you.

just wanted you to know that even thought i am not a good Christian i still think Luke's story is sad yet amazing and i pray for him.

goodbye.
