Resting well

Luke has been resting well for the past day since the G-Tube was installed. Both Mom and I were able to hold him today for a while. He is scheduled for the Tracheostomy for Friday afternoon. The surgery will allow him to breath, however we will need to continue to maintain his airway for him. Please continue to pray that he will be able to swallow and cough and that the Trach will be temporary.

We have been blessed with a different room in the PICU with a little more room, this is especially helpful with all of the family visiting. The other blessing is that we now have computer access in Luke's room, so I can blog from here.

Love you all.

Gordy & Sue,
You may not realize what an impact you are having on people during this time in your life. At a time when your own family is in crisis, you have the ability to help others. What I am seeing is a true blessing. When your son should be your sole concern, you are able to see others hurting and want to help. That is a true testament to God's love. I am encourage by your generous spirit. We continue to keep you in our prayers, but know that God is using this situation in amazing ways.

Gordy, Sue and Luke,

Since Sunday I cannot get the song Breathe out of my head. On Sunday as I was singing, and I did not do it on purpose, but at the part where it says, "Your holy presence living in me, I put in living in Luke". This has become, for me a part of the song that will always be there now.

Also I am looking forward to seeing Luke tomorrow and the rest of the family. I love you all so much.

Love, Auntie Lori and Uncle Lonnie.

PS Lonnie says hi and that he, and I, are just amazed when we read this blog. The amount of people that are praying is so amazing. Thank you from the extended family, your prayers mean so much to even us!

Hi Searles Family

I was so happy to hear that Luke is resting well. It's in those quiet times that GOD's touch is healing and restoring Luke. We continue with our prayers. I also wanted to thank you for your prayers for our Elizabeth and Isabelle. GOD touched a very dangerous situation last night, we are now blessed with a very healthy grandaughter and daughter-in-law. GOD hears and answers prayers we have 2 precious girls that are miracles along with Luke. So please don't be discouraged in waiting on GOD to fullfill all of your precious Lukes needs. He is a miracle. And GOD never leaves anything unfinished. Please take care of yourselves you are loved by GOD and us.

Dear Gordy, Sue & family,
Luke and your family are continually in our thoughts and prayers. We know that it was an act of God's miraculous intervention in saving little Luke's life and He is always faithful to complete the work that was started. We are standing firm with you in believeing God for full restoration of Luke's body. Thank you for keeping this blog site. We are amazed at your ability to minister to others in this time of uncertainty and need for your family. God is receiving glory through your updates, request for prayer and the wonderful encouragements coming in all over the world! Praise the Lord! We will be praying for Luke tomorrow during his procedure and for the whole family to be filled with peace and endurance for what is to come. We love you all and are praying with you!

We pray that God will give you all a good nights rest, that you will wake refreshed in the morning for all the events that lay ahead of you. We pray for God to guide the surgeons hands as they perform the procedures tomorrow. Isa 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on You.Becaue he trusts in You. May you all have a renewing of your minds as you sleep tonight. Love Triton's Grandma

Hi Gordy AKA Luke's Dad it never ceases to amaze me how creative people are, especailly the young ones, gives me hope for the future. Anyway I was looking for information on daily prayer and landed on your page. I was looking more for daily prayer so Resting well wasn't an exact match but I enjoyed reading your posts. Take Care. I'll bookmark your blog for future.
