Isaiah showing the seeds
This Blog is for the purpose of keeping family, friends and prayer warriors informed on the status of our son Luke. It is a journal of the Searles family journey after the drowning accident of their 17 month old son Luke, who drowned in their back yard pool on August 30, 2004. He was dead for at least 40 minutes before God brought him back to life. Please continue to join with us in prayer for the complete restoration of his brain and body.

Isaiah, Ezekiel and Lily planting "their" garden
Thanks to Uncle Tom and Auntie Cindy Isaiah, Ezekiel and Lily are planting a garden outside of their home. We are blessed to live right behind Auntie Cindy's home, she is so helpful with the children. She has gone beyond the call of duty in helping with Luke and with the other children. She suggested the children get the opportunity to plant a garden and is keeping a pictorial journal of their progress at her blog, http://teachercindy.blogspot.com/. Enjoy the pictures.

How fun!
They are adorable and I can't believe how much Lily has grown! She looks like a big girl now.
Isn't it great to have people who help out? Tom and Cindy sound like real blessings!
Hope your day is full of great things Suzi!
Dear Sue, I love the pictures. Lily is big .... I love to see them planting their flowers. :)
I just read your blog post below...
haven't been here in a while since I haven't had access to the computer while I was at mom's.
Well, the hospital had one in the waiting area... and I did get on once. I even thought of Gordy... and how both of you would post from the hospital. I always wondered *how* you could do that.
But there was a big family in the waiting area all weekend so I wasn't able to get online.
I am so sorry HUGS... I know our situations are worlds apart but my heart understands when you talk about being depressed ... or down.
I can not imagine what you are going through... and how the Lord carries you.... as I know you can not imagine my situation. We can lift one another up to the Lord and cry out to Him. I am still praying for Luke's healing... as I know you are.
I too, have been weary. I keep trodding along.... keep taking the next step or doing the next thing.
My Dad, and of course you know about my dh... dancing with the bottle instead of me. That in itself is so very hard... and now my mom. Having to make sure everything is ok here... before going there. Oh well, see I am complaining. :( I am sorry.
I want you to know God continues to carry me. I have heard a new song off and on... but today Mandi taped it off the christian station. It is called "Find you waiting" Have you heard of it?
It really speaks to my heart.
Here are the words~
I've heard the angels and I've seen the devil
Fought with the lion, sent through the fire
I've been in the valley when it was dry
Walked through the desert to the other side
I'm not a preacher and I'm not a hero My life has never been that kind But there is one thing that I hold onto I am yours, and Lord you are mine
CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need a friend
And I find you waiting there for me
I've seen a widow cry through her sorrow
And still raise her hands in the midst of it all
And Lord I'm reminded when I was weary You carried me, yes you carried me
CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need of a friend
And I find you waiting there.....
BRIDGE
In the midst of a struggle
There is one thing I know
You'll never leave me, no never alone
I've heard the angels and I've seen the devil
Fought with the lion, sent straight through the fire
CHORUS
And through all these years You have been there
Dried all my tears and answered my prayers
I just want to feel your presence again
I'm down on my knees in need of a friend
And I find you waiting
And I find you waiting there for me
I love you, Sue.
