This Blog is for the purpose of keeping family, friends and prayer warriors informed on the status of our son Luke. It is a journal of the Searles family journey after the drowning accident of their 17 month old son Luke, who drowned in their back yard pool on August 30, 2004. He was dead for at least 40 minutes before God brought him back to life. Please continue to join with us in prayer for the complete restoration of his brain and body.

Quick prayer request
Luke is running a fever again of 102+, just like last Sunday morning. Please pray that the fever will go away once and for all. We have been having a good weekend up to now. Sue is out of town at the women's retreat and is having a great time. Luke has been doing well with the girls and I caring for him. I know God answers prayer, and so that is why I am turning to all of you, our faithful followers of this blog. I will update again later this afternoon.

My Little Luke...I was talking with your grandma yesterday after church. She told me how much she loves you and how blessed she is. We talked about how God is watching over you and how many people have been touched by your precious being and now there are over 69,000 big people, plus all their kids, friends and relatives praying for you every minute of every day. God is hearing each and every one of those prayers, Luke, because He loves you so much. We know it is taking longer than you really want, but our God knows exactly what He is doing. I know it sometimes doesn't seem fair that you are not able to get up and play with your brothers and sisters, but you know what my little friend, what you are receiving from the Lord and your loving family is worth so much more than a romp in the grass, don't you think. I still look out into my garden and can just see you sitting there in my apple tree. How I love you my little friend. Paster Tom told us Sunday to tell God exactly what kind of blessings and prayers we wanted and needed. Boy are we doing that or what.... :o) Thanks for being my friend and I hold you dear to my heart....
Am loving & praying in Graham, WA
Grandma Barbara...(well not really Grandma...but I love you like only a Grandma can!)
Thank you for praying, Luke is doing much better. Please continue to pray that he will remain healthy (no more fever). Also pray that he will continue to improve on his swallowing and managing of secretions. Thanx
I just talked with Sue and Luke is running a fever again. She has called the doctor and is waiting for them to call back. This really feels like a roller coaster ride. I know both Sue and I are discouraged.
Dear Gordy and Sue,
I'm a first-time poster, but long-time friend and prayer warrior. I pray the doctors can quickly identify the cause of these troublesome fevers. God bless you all!
Sue talked with the doctor yesterday afternoon and he wants to wait until Thursday morning to see if the fever remains. If so, we will have to take Luke in to see him. Right now, he doesnt have a fever. He is having difficulty keeping food down.
On a up note, we took our nurses out to dinner last night as a thank you for all the wonderful service they provided to us as they cared for Luke. I will blog more later as we know more.
In Him.
Just checking back to see how Luke is and praying all is well. Update when you can. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
