This Blog is for the purpose of keeping family, friends and prayer warriors informed on the status of our son Luke. It is a journal of the Searles family journey after the drowning accident of their 17 month old son Luke, who drowned in their back yard pool on August 30, 2004. He was dead for at least 40 minutes before God brought him back to life. Please continue to join with us in prayer for the complete restoration of his brain and body.

Urgent prayer need!!!
The Doctors are talking about putting Luke's trach back in. Please pray that Luke will recover from this without the need to retrach him. Both Sue and my heart sinks every time we think about the possibility of having the trach back. Caring for Luke is not easy, but it is far more difficult when he has a trach. Please pray for our emotions and strength during this difficult time. Before Jesus was crucified he told Peter that satan wanted to sift him as wheat. Right now, I feel as though I am being sifted. Not that I am Peter, but that the enemy of my soul is fully engaged with an attack apon me an my family. It is hard to not feel like fainting. However God is my refuge, my very present help in time of need. I take courage in the Lord.

may God bless your family during these trying times. May you find strength in Him always. Your child is in good solid hands with Jesus.
Keep in prayer!

Gordy, My heart hurts for you and your family. I just want you to know that we are lifting you up in prayer. Love, Shane, Julie and Children
Christian and I will be praying, I have been following Luke's progress over the past couple of days and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Lord Jesus, please give Gordy and Sue the strength they need to get through these trying times. You are the only one who can truly understand what they are going through right now, you Father know their every need. We stand with them and cry out to you with them to touch Luke's body and as well to meet them all where they are at and touch them with the comforting presence of your Holy Spirit. I pray that your peace will follow them as they face these trials and their countanance will be a testimony of your presence in their lives.
Bless you guys, we love you.
Gordy & Sue, we continue to be in constant prayer for Luke, interceding for his life. May the Lord do another amazing miracle. We continue to pray for your encouragement and strength during this very difficult time. We love you guys. You are not alone.

Gordy & Sue, one scripture that is on our heart for you: Rom 16:19-20
For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. We are reminded of this verse because of your faith and courage. We know that Jesus Christ is the author and perfector of your faith and that your strength is found completely in Him. Bless you,
Phil, Kim & Matthew De Bord
