As you can see by the pictures Luke has lead a very full and good life these past five years. Has it always been easy, no way, has it always been pain free, no way, has it always been full of smiles, no way. Have we always believed that God is able to heal Luke, YES, have we always had to lean on Jesus for our strength, YES, do we still believe that Luke will walk and talk again one day, YES! We are thankful that we didn't take the Dr.'s advice in the PICU right after his accident, when he told us to take Luke home and let him die in our arms, that Dr. knew the hardships and trying times that we would have with Luke's brain injury. God knew better, He knew we would grow closer to Him than we thought possible, God knew that He would never leave us for a single second, God knew that He would have to give us the strength to get through the many hard days, God knew that He would supply all the money we would need pay all Luke's many medical bills, God knew that He would bring faithful prayer warriors to stand by our sides and not give up praying for Luke's healing and our family, God knew that we would need healing in our family and He faithfully healed us in our desperate moments, GOD KNEW and we trusted Him.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. I've said this numerous times in the past but it can't be said enough that without your faithfulness in keeping our family in your prayers this journey we've been on for these past 5 years would have been nearly impossible to get through. May God richly bless each and every one of you.

Love you so much,
Luke's Mommy Suzi

PS We would love to hear from y'all out there, would you be willing to share your favorite memory from these past 5 years? We would love to hear it!

It is so neat to see all the pictures of Luke through the years, and to remember all the prayers God has answered and everything He has done in Luke's life.
My favorite memory of Luke is, of course, the time I got to meet him and his family in person. Getting to hold Luke and interact with him was priceless. Praying for him as I held him in my arms...

He's such a beautiful little boy and so blessed to be in the midst of a family who loves him! Your family has been such an inspiration to me and I'm glad I met you (in bloggyland), through Annie, even though the circumstances for both of you were not the best!
Every time I visit Luke's site, I am amazed at the strength you display. I, too, am praying for Luke's complete healing and know that he will be healed through the power of prayer to God!

Suzi, thanks for sharing all the pictures of Luke. Wow, he's really grown! Because of Luke we've become friends and I'm so thankful for that. Please know that I keep you in my prayers. Life is not always easy, but like you said, we have the Lord to hold us through the tough times as well as good times. Hugs to you from here.

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures and thoughts. It really does highlight how life is full of ups and downs. We have to hold onto the good to pull us up when we are on the downward side of the roller coaster. As always, the abiding love and incredible faith is inspiring. May you feel the peace and love of all the prayers wash over you today and every day.
Love, Pam

Oh Sue, where do I start.... I am so very thankful that the Lord led me to Luke's blog. I love all the pics of Luke through the years. Alyssa and I sat here looking at each one. Thank you so much for sharing them with us.

One of my memories was of the faith that you and Gordy had... even in those first days... sharing, and pleading with God. Your faith has been such a testimony for me.

I think my favorite memory was when you posted Luke's smile... we had all been praying that Luke would smile... and when you posted that pic ... I printed it and carried it in my bible. Made one for my SS class and just yesterday I shared about Luke in SS.

My other cherished memory is the day you and I met. Walking that mountain, the gift you gave me, the love you shared.. the FAITH again... it just radiants from you. Our time at Cracker Barrel... YOU blessed me more than you will ever realize.

I went to a conference this weekend and one of the things Beth Moore said that spoke to my heart was:
Nothing is passive about patiently waiting for our desire to turn into delight....

sometimes when we wait to long our hope gets deferred but she kept saying DON'T GIVE UP... DON'T GIVE UP! God is up to something... DON'T GIVE UP.

I had a friend come up to me at the end and say... "I do not want you to give up... I believe God has not given up on your 'situation' so you don't either...."

Beth Moore said "God does hear us, He is not over looking us... He hears what our desires are... and He is up to something... don't give up... keep looking up!"

It helped me.... although EVEN today I have let satan try to steal my joy/delight... and that is something else she said "Nothing external can steal our right to delight/joy"

sorry this is so long. Wanted you to know I am thinking and praying for you.

As I signed off years ago.. hoping just hoping that YOU and GORDY would remember us.. and that we were lifting Luke up to the Lord daily... sometimes hourly... as our Wes is Luke's age...

YOUR GEORGIA FRIENDS,
Billy,Teena, Michael, Mandi, Dakota, Alyssa, Wyatt & Wesley (and now Amber too).
