Thank You for Praying

We took Luke to the Dr and discovered that he had an ear infection and this was the source of the fever. He has been on antibiotics for a couple days and is feeling much better.

Yesterday we received a cap to begin the process of capping his trach. If Luke can tolerate capping for 24 hours that will be a good indication that he should be able to have his trach removed. It is not a guarantee, he still will need to have the bronchoscopy (sp?) go well. So far so good, he seems to tolerate it just fine. We didnt leave it on too long today with Luke still recovering from being sick.

Yesterday I called home on the drive home from work and Sue was feeding Luke a variety of flavors and she began laughing. I asked her what was so funny and she said they had given Luke a taste of lemon and the face he was making was very funny. Then they gave him some chocolate and he really liked that. No big surprise there, his Mom loves chocolate, so it has to be in his genes.

With Easter just around the corner, I hope you and your family experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing the risen savior. He Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed! Happy Easter from the Searles family.

I am so thrilled to hear all that is happening in little Luke's life! How exciting about getting to cap the trach! WOW! And the leg braces, and trying new foods! I have been unable to post for quite some time (I hemorrhaged 13 days postpartum with Chloe and had emergency surgery...)but have been praying for you all, and thinking of you every day. I'll be praying for Luke's ear infection to quickly get better. Any chance of being able to post a picture of the little guy? Hope that's okay to ask! And I bet Lily has changed a bunch, too! You all hang on to His promises, and know you are lifted before the throne in prayer.
Love ya-
The Lockwoods (Mark, Amy, Elijah, Tabitha, Joanna, Josiah, and Chloe)

We say this too! On Easter morn.. when we shake hands with others at church or speak... we say

"HE IS RISEN" and others say "HE HAS RISEN INDEED" :)

I LOVE chocolate too, Luke!!! Our Wesley is sick... he has pneumonia.
We may have to go to the hospital but we are praying he gets well quick and doesn't have to go!

We are praying for you and all your family Luke~ We love you!

your Ga Friends,
Billy, Teena, Michael, Mandi, Dakota, Alyssa, Wyatt & Wesley

That is great to hear! You know, just thinking back at how far Luke has come and the doctors really promising nothing, it is truly amazing to hear that he is responding to flavors of food! What a beautiful thing! God is so good! Thank You Father for being Luke's risen Savior!

Bless you Searles family!

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Luke! We serve such an awesome God and He still answers prayer and performs miracles. You're living proof. Hallelujah!

Sue and Gordy, I wish you and your entire family the most glorious of Easters. May the Lord richly bless your day and family time together. I'd say may he bless you but it is obvious he already has. I pray his continuous blessings though and I'm with you all in spirit. Love to you all!
