This Blog is for the purpose of keeping family, friends and prayer warriors informed on the status of our son Luke. It is a journal of the Searles family journey after the drowning accident of their 17 month old son Luke, who drowned in their back yard pool on August 30, 2004. He was dead for at least 40 minutes before God brought him back to life. Please continue to join with us in prayer for the complete restoration of his brain and body.

Luke and Mommy!

Oh Luke is getting so big. He looks like such a little man!
He loves his mommy! I just have to say that Aidan never forgets to pray for Luke, in fact the other day he asked me, "can we go to the Searles house today?" He will also randomly ask after praying for Luke before eating breakfast (I think really believing that his prayer is being heard by God, which it is!) "Can Luke walk now?" The faith of children always blesses my soul and causes me to believe with a little less baggage. Aidan is really looking forward to meeting Luke one day and getting to play with your boys again! We love you! Thanks by the way for the comment on my blog the other day, I kept meaning to respond but I've been so busy. I've thought many times about after having read one of your posts the same thing, "Luke should be doing what Aidan is doing right now." And I'm sure it could be really easy to dwell on what he's not doing instead of what he is doing. You guys have a hard road but I love to see the grace that you cling to and know that God hears every cry in your heart.
Love you guys! Sorry about the long comment :) Blessings!

What a beautiful picture! I still treasure the afternoon last summer that I got to spend snuggling with Luke, and it must be such an amazing blessing that you get to do that every day! God bless you!
