Some days are definitely harder than others!

Some days are just hard! I had planned to take the kids to our annual Homeschool Valentine's Day Bowling party today, but Luke is having a hard morning so I'm not able to go. Today I just want a normal 5 year old boy who would be excited about bowling, running around, shouting out his excitement about going or just sitting down filling out Valentine's day cards, you get the picture. Lord help me to be thankful for each and every day I know that your ways are perfect and yet on days like today I struggle with the reason WHY?

Luke did a little better last night, though he was on oxygen all night again. There were a few times that he would dip way down on his oxygen numbers. I finally got to bed around 3:00 a.m. so this morning when I heard him alarming it was just too stinking hard to get back up. I'm thankful my sister Cindy came to help, I was able to get in a few extra minutes of sleep.

Sorry for complaining today, I know that it will get better it always does. The reason we keep writing this blog is to journal our days, the good, the bad and the ugly. I realize that many people keep coming back to see "how Luke is doing," I'm thankful for your faithfulness and especially for your prayers, I can't imagine life without them. I look forward to that day that I can look back on these hard days and thank the Lord for His faithfulness in giving us the strength to make it through another day.

Love in Christ,
Luke's Mommy Suzi

Praying for you Sue - and thanks for sharing the story of bad days as well as the good. We all have them, it's part of being human, and telling our stories - the good and the bad - is all part of how we get and stay healthy! The sun is shining, it's a new day, and God is good... as you know! :-)

Thank you for always being so honest in sharing your heart with all of us. I learn so much from your example of praising God no matter what the situation. By the way, do you know the song "All Who Are Thirsty"? I'm listening to it right know after another one of "those days" and it helps me to remember what's most important. Praying for better days for you soon.

I love you and wish I could help more. If you get a chance read the introduction to the book of JOB in the Message Bible. It gave me comfort and the best explanation on the ‘whys’ in life. Tom said one of his favorite authors is Eugene H. Peterson because of his insight. Reading this blessed me greatly last night.

GOD is good all the time,
And all the time GOD is good.

I don’t know why but I trust the ONE who does!

I love you all soooo much!!!!!
Aunt Cindy :-)

Dear Sue,
I'm having some of those harder days lately too, and while Noah's struggles are different, I understand a bit of the rollercoaster. We are praying for you and your precious family!!!

Hi Sue! Praying for better days for you and Luke. I've been struggling with similar thoughts lately too. Caleb's been doing pretty good but I often just want my normal little 5 year old too. Thanks for sharing... This is a rollercoaster...and yes I can't wait till it's over and we can REJOICE and be thankful for those ups and downs.
