Hello Little Luke and family, I am so glad that you were able to go to church! I am so excited to see you with all your family! I know that everyone is so glad to get their hands on you. I have been out of town but checked on you every day! I was not able to post but wanted you to know that you are always in our prayers. I will be praying about the things that your Daddy asked for. Blessings to you all, Shane, Julie and Family

Hi Luke, Hi Searles family!

Praying for you and knowing that God is faithful. His plans are good. Soak in God's love! I'm happy for everyone at church and at the wedding to get to see you, Luke. Everyone is rooting for you, and leaning on the everlasting arms of our Heavenly Father who knows all that you are going through!

Thank you for sharing all the requests. I prayed for them and will continue!

Dear Searles,

What joy you bring! When I wanted to continue here, I set up a blog..."thru the garden gate"...not knowing what to do with it or in it...didn't matter, because it got me in here! Sometimes words from my heart come hard, so thought I would do a little poem again...

I stepped thru my garden gate today
And guess who I did see...
It was little Luke just as happy as he could be.

He had his Teddy at his side
As he strolled along his way.
The light of God in him did brighten up my day.

Luke led me to the apple tree
And climed up on a limb.
He took my hand and said to me,
"We need to pray to Him."

This tiny boy prayed hard with me
As we sat together in that apple tree.

When we were done, he jumped right down
And grabbed an apple bright and red,
"Thank you, for being here and hearing what I said."

My heart filled up, a tear ran down my face.
Oh thank you Lord for coming to this place!

Luke's face shown bright, his eyes were sharp and clear.
His little arms and legs were straight..
God you truly did hear!

Luke waved and threw a big kiss and to me he did say...
"I'm glad you stepped through your garden gate today,"

Me to Luke...Loving and Praying always

Hi there! It has been a few days since I posted. I was so happy to see the pictures of you! I cried when I saw your mama pushing you in your stroller. Your mom & dad's faithfulness to the Lord touches us all. I called to my children "LUKE, went to church, LUKE went to church".... they came running! I love the picture of Daniel napping with Luke. We do that with our boys around here... we love to hold them. It is great to have the older children to hold and love the little ones! God is so wonderful. I thank you so much for sharing with all of us. We are praying for all of you as you make the adjustments. We haven't forgotten. We are praying extra as you return to work and everyone gets into a routine. We are praying for Sue. May God give you HIS strength daily.

Dear Searles Family,

I just wanted to post a note to let you know how proud I am of your family's strength and Lukes persistance. You have an amazing family full of love and support... and with your love I believe Luke will get better. Just know that the nurses in the ER are thinking and praying for you. Keep on keeping on... Luke truly is a miracle.
