EEG results

The results of the EEG indicate that there is no focus to the seizures and brain activity is slowed as compared to normal. These results are what is to be expected for a child that has gone through what Luke has gone through. He had another seizure this afternoon and they gave him more medication to sedate him. God is able to deliver Luke from these seizures, so please pray that the seizures would stop.

There is a song by Paul Baloche that has been referred to a couple of times, it is "Face to Face". The song talks about seeing the glory of the Lord and we will see the glory of the Lord. This link will take you to the album "God of Wonders" by Paul Baloche and you can click on the song "Face to Face" on the left hand side to hear the song. I hope it ministers to you like it has me.

Gordon, my cousin found this prayer in our great-grandmother's prayer book from 1910 and adapted
it slightly for Luke. It is a prayer to say before going to bed at night.

"Bless , O lord, the repose Luke is about to take, that, his bodily strength being renewed he is better enabled to serve thee.

O holy Virgin Mary, Mother of mercy, preserve him this night from all evil, whether of body or soul. Holy Saint Joseph, Saint Michael, and all the saints and angels of Paradise, especially his guardian angel and his chosen patron, watch over him. I commend him to your protection now and at all times."

Still praying for you in Seattle and N. Carolina,
Lisa D. & Cousin Debbi

Gordy, Hang in there, buddy! It's only been a few days and healing takes time. Sheila and I are following... I don't know if this is the right time, but it might divert you a bit. Where is the RSS XML link I can put in my RSS Reader to automatically notify me of updates to your blog? Most blogs have this feature and it would be great to keep up without subscribing? Here's the internal blogger link:

I prefer RSS...

Prayers and supportive thoughts continue to flow from us to you...Bob and Sheila in Seattle.

Gordon and family. I have written a post called 'Teddy Bears For LUke'. I wanted to do something for Luke and the other kids in icu. I also wanted to provide a way for kids to feel they are helping Luke. I hope it will make people think for a bit. I have provided a link to that post. I hope this is okay.

A freshness comes with the dawn, so rest well this night. He will bring a new day to all and a jubilant day it will be. Rest and be still in the Lord, His light will overcome the darkness. Be patient in your wait, healing takes time. It will be done when His work has been completed. Good night Luke, see ya in the morning....I am praying for you little one...

Yes, we are seeing the Glory of God! Look around this blog and see the love that is being poured on Luke and his family. As the father of the family, I am a blessed man to have so many people pouring out on us. I want to give God ALL of the Glory of what he is doing for Luke and what he is doing in our hearts as we trust him day by day and minute by minute.

THANK-YOU, tocantonto, for the ATOM feed link and info! Now I'm cooking and can keep up auto-magically! I encourage everyone to investigate this technique to stay in touch. Just "google" 'RSS feeds' to find out why and how.

Gordy, gonna hug you when you get back to work. You're an inspiration and a great leader.

Now I'm going to go send a teddy-bear to Luke...Bob

Everyone who is praying and see this. Luke CAT scan came back with extensive brain damage. The damage is in the area of the brain that controls the swollowing, coughing and to an extent the breathing. They have the option of a placement of a tracheotomy tube and a gastric tube to help him with this, but there is really not much more that they can do for him. They can also choose not to do this and let the miracle of God come forth and heal him in His time. Lukes dad (Gordy) and Pastor –Uncle Tom are in deep prayer right now as to what to do, so pray for wisdom.

Thank you,

From Lukes parents and family.
