A word of encouragement

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the words of encouragement, they are like balm to my family. They are words that heal and help, so thank you.

One of our friends whose husband is a pastor shared this verse and its encourgement with us.

Psalm 112:6-8 (Living Bible)
Do not fear bad news nor live in dread of what may happen, for they are settled in their minds that Jehovah will take care of them. That is why they are not afraid, but can calmly face their foes!

It is settled in my and my wifes mind, Jehovah will take care of us and will take care of Luke. We will not fear, nor live in dread.

Keep saying over him, "By His stripes we WERE healed" It is a done deal as long as you stand on that scripture. Say NOTHING except what God's Word says about healing, because His Word says that what we can see with our physical eyes is temporary and is subject to change, but the Word of God NEVER changes. In short, don't react to what you see, believe what the Word says instead.

I truly believe that the strength of your faith, the love and prayers of those who care, and time will heal Luke. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Gordy for your faith and strength in the Lord. By visiting you every day here, I am lifted up and want to thank you for being who you are. Little Luke is so very fortunate to have you as a Daddy...Just as you are so fortunate to have such a wonderful Daddy. He will care for you and give you all you need, just like you do for Luke. Remember how you feel when you are in His arms...that is how Luke feels when you hold him, love him and talk with him. My prayers are with you all continually. God is Love...God is Light...God is Life...

Dear Luke's family,
You are probably not aware of this, but on Monday night, there was a ladies bible study meeting in our home when we received word that Luke had been found in the pool. We began to pray and intercede on your family's behalf, and we were over-joyed when we received the word a short time later that Luke was breathing. Hallelujah!
We have continued to pray and continue to spread the request for prayer to everyone we know. What God has already done is miraculous, and it is only the beginning of His power and mercy! As you ride the rollercoaster of medical challenges and emotional frustrations, He will be right there with you - through it all.
Yours in Christ, Martin & Wilka Michaelson

Psalm 112:1-4 The Message1 Hallelujah! Blessed man, blessed woman, who fear GOD,
Who cherish and relish his commandments,
2 Their children robust on the earth,And the homes of the upright--how blessed!
3 Their houses brim with wealth
And a generosity that never runs dry.
4 Sunrise breaks through the darkness for good people--God's grace and mercy and justice!

Oh, how wide and deep is the love of God. How blessed are we all to get a glimpse of this love as we witness His miracles and the prayers and love of brothers and sisters in Christ, both near and far! You are constantly in our prayers and thoughts. May your testimony and this fellowship of believers bring great glory to The One who is directing this whole experience. The Olson Family
A song sung by the Homeschool chorus comes to mind;
And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His hand!

This is part of a prayer from St. Theresa of Avila, Spain, and it speaks to your incredibly beautiful faith you are sharing with all of us in this struggle:

"Dream that the more you struggle, the more you prove the love that you bear your God . . ."

Thank you for opening your heart and allowing us to see what true faith really looks like.

The prayers for you and your precious son are far-reaching, more so than you can imagine. Prayer chains in Hawaii and Missouri have been put out, and who knows how many others will be reached.
Know that you are being covered by brothers and sisters in Christ, and that we will all rejoice together in the victory of Luke's complete restoration!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
