Sunday update

Sorry for not sending an update sooner. I went home this morning and took the kids to church, and then spent some time holding and loving on my kids.

The PCs are being used a lot, so I need to keep it short.

Bottomline, they are going to take out the breathing tube and there is a risk they will have to put it back if his throat swells. Pray that Luke will respond positively to its removal. It should be at in the next few hours. I will let you know as soon as I know more.

BTW, church was awesome.

Love you,
Gordy AKA Luke's Dad

We are in prayer for you all and Luke frequently. It sounds like he hasn't had any more seizures and we thank God for this. Love you guys!

I'm glad you were all able to go to church and receive comfort from the local Body of Christ. We're in prayer for you guys, and especially for little Luke, over here in Japan.

Wow - so glad to hear that Luke is maintaining well enough to get the tube removed. I'm checking the site here every time I can and I'm praying for Luke and your entire family to have the faith and support - and energy - to manage the experience. Thanks for the updates and please accept a stranger's prayers for you.

ok THIS IS completely lighthearted, but my neurologist says lighthearted is good and tells me to never change, so I have to share that I moved myLuke bookmark, to my toolbar, I had so very many bookmarks and he was the last entry so scrolling was very tedious, now Luke is easy to get to quick!! LOL, just click the toolbar icon! LOL pretty good for a 42 year old with a stroke !! :-) hope you both are holding up well! I am so happy the tube will get removed! God Bless!

We just wanted you to know that the people of DCC here in Centralia, WA are praying and having faith that Luke will be fine. We pray that Luke will be awakned and that he will live to be a healthy little boy. We have younger kids pray aloud and we we expect work to be done in his body and we are looking forward to hear that more miricales are going to be done.

To the Searles family I pray that you will be lifted up and spirits will remain high and you will be encouraged and that you are also praying yourselfs for miracles done not only in your sons life but in yours also.

We love you all and we all are praying for little Luke.

Everyone who is praying and see this. Luke CAT scan came back with extensive brain damage. The damage is in the area of the brain that controls the swollowing, coughing and to an extent the breathing. They have the option of a placement of a tracheotomy tube and a gastric tube to help him with this, but there is really not much more that they can do for him. They can also choose not to do this and let the miracle of God come forth and heal him in His time. Lukes dad (Gordy) and Pastor –Uncle Tom are in deep prayer right now as to what to do, so pray for wisdom.

Thank you,

From Lukes parents and family.
