Sunday update

Sorry for not sending an update sooner. I went home this morning and took the kids to church, and then spent some time holding and loving on my kids.

The PCs are being used a lot, so I need to keep it short.

Bottomline, they are going to take out the breathing tube and there is a risk they will have to put it back if his throat swells. Pray that Luke will respond positively to its removal. It should be at in the next few hours. I will let you know as soon as I know more.

BTW, church was awesome.

Love you,
Gordy AKA Luke's Dad

Hi Gordy and family. Traffic has been heavy at times as people try to leave comments in your blog and mine. A lot of people are stopping by even if they aren't commenting. I have left a comment in your last post and linked to my latest post that asks people to be patient. The list of Teddy bears For Luke continues to grow.

I'm glad you were all able to go to church and receive comfort from the local Body of Christ. We're in prayer for you guys, and especially for little Luke, over here in Japan.

Wow - so glad to hear that Luke is maintaining well enough to get the tube removed. I'm checking the site here every time I can and I'm praying for Luke and your entire family to have the faith and support - and energy - to manage the experience. Thanks for the updates and please accept a stranger's prayers for you.

We just wanted you to know that the people of DCC here in Centralia, WA are praying and having faith that Luke will be fine. We pray that Luke will be awakned and that he will live to be a healthy little boy. We have younger kids pray aloud and we we expect work to be done in his body and we are looking forward to hear that more miricales are going to be done.

To the Searles family I pray that you will be lifted up and spirits will remain high and you will be encouraged and that you are also praying yourselfs for miracles done not only in your sons life but in yours also.

We love you all and we all are praying for little Luke.

Everyone who is praying and see this. Luke CAT scan came back with extensive brain damage. The damage is in the area of the brain that controls the swollowing, coughing and to an extent the breathing. They have the option of a placement of a tracheotomy tube and a gastric tube to help him with this, but there is really not much more that they can do for him. They can also choose not to do this and let the miracle of God come forth and heal him in His time. Lukes dad (Gordy) and Pastor –Uncle Tom are in deep prayer right now as to what to do, so pray for wisdom.

Thank you,

From Lukes parents and family.
