Great Love

It has been nearly a week since Luke's accident and I had no idea when I created this site, that it would turn into this, an incredible outpouring of Love. The other morning, I was praying and thinking about the blog and I said to the Lord, "Lord, I am not worthy of this kind of Love, there are others out there in this world hurting too, like Emily and her parents, I dont deserve this expression of Love". Then I heard the Lord gently speak to me, "Gordy, the love you are seeing on this blog pales in comparison to the love I have for each and every person" WOW, I was blown away. There are so many people that are coming to this site to see how Luke is doing and they are thinking about Luke and my family several times each day. Some have said that they are not religious, guess what, neither am I. This may surprise some of you, as I do have a deep faith in my God, but it comes down to relationship and His great love for me. If you find your self drawn to this site on a frequent basis, it may be one of the first times in your life you that you have witnessed geniune love. Please know that there is a source to this love and his name is Yahweh, Yeshua, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Friends, if you find yourself drawn to this love, you too can expierence it first hand.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Will you run to the Him (the love) today? Turn to him, he is there. He is why Sue and I can stand strong in the face of uncertainty.

This great love is what saved my live. Not the love but the person.
The Lord Jesus Christ, His life is in me and sustains me.
I was very dead without Him; I looked alive and maybe happy
but was very angry and very hurting. Now the peace within is greater
then the circumstances without. I look into the face of the Lord,
as Luke looked into mine. And see the Lord looking at me with the same deep love.

Gordy, Sue and Family:

My name is Desha and I work with Luke's aunt Lori. I checked the web site today to see how Luke is doing, and while I am relieved he is holding his own, I just want you to know that I am praying for him and his recovery, no matter how long it takes. You are all in my thoughts everyday. As a mom, my heart goes out to you. Waiting is the hardest part. Time will tell and it is my hope, everything will be okay. Although I have never met any of you, because of Lori, I feel like I know you. I pray for Luke - and you and his brothers and sisters.

Hi Luke, Coughing is fun and it helps so... make noise and have fun. Little kids are supposed to make noise and run around. Cough! Cough! Cough!

Gordy I got your email and will respond later.

Hello,

My son, Paul Seward, asked me to pray for Luke's healing and your strength, faith and courage to remain strong.
I will do so. I'll also put Luke's name on our prayer
list at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Port Townsend.

The power of prayers is an incredible gift. I know from a time of personal experience when Paul's Dad, my husband, was in the midst of a life threatening crisis.
Prayers from people around the world, many whom we did not know, sustained us!

May God's peace and healing love be with you,
Mary Ann

As I was reading Isaiah and Ezekiel's comments I was again overwhelmed by the love within your family. I can't wait to see Luke running around with the rest of the kids at church.

We are still thinking of you continuously Searles Family - expecially last night as we were only a few floors below in the ER. We were blessed that a fall on the stairs only led to a separated elbow for our toddler, and we stopped to send a few prayers as we thought of little Luke so close in distance and in our hearts.

It is good to hear that you feel the thoughts and prayers for Luke and your family accross the distances, small and great. How amazing and wonderful - may these little miracles continue to build toward the ultimate miracle of Luke's return to your family.

-Sherry

Thanks for sharing about the supernaturally unusual peace and hope (regardless of the outcome) that can only be found in Jesus at a time like this. It's incomprehensible to those without a relationship to Jesus, but it's within reach to anyone that dares to seek! The invitation's there!
"...to all who believed him (Jesus)and accepted him, to them he gave the right to become children of God..." John 1:12
"...this is the way to have eternal life - to KNOW you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth." John 17:3

Gordy, Sue and family, thanks for demonstrating to the cyberworld that the power of the gospel is REAL to change peoples' lives and to give them an anchor during stormy times.

We love you guys and are thankful for this website to be able to go through this storm with you, as much as possible. We continue to lift up Luke in prayer frequently. We'll pray that he'll cough, and we'll pray for you to be girded with God's armor as you go through this current spiritual battle.

Gordy, Sue, Luke, Daniel, Amy, Natalie, Isaiah, Zeke:
Our sermon yesterday was on healing, and as we read the scriptures, my mind and my heart were focused on you. Complete and total healing has been claimed in the name of Jesus, whether that healing comes as a miracle from God or through the hands of physicians that He chooses to use, it matters not. He is I AM, He is the great Physician, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

We hold you all close to our hearts, and we pray for you continued strength, health, rest, peace, comfort, joy, and love. Jim and Marge Ray

Lord God, I pray for continued healing for Luke at this time. In the name of your son Jesus Christ heal all parts of his little body that are not working the way they need to be. Hold him God, comfort him. I pray for your mighty wisdom and guidance to pour down upon Gordy and Sue, Lord. They are having to make decisions which need your hand, Lord. To his doctors and nurses, Lord, fill them with your awesome power, knowledge and let them keep searching for the answers to questions which linger. Loving and praying...gb in Graham, WA

Luke we are all thinking about you tonight. We pray that things work out for you. Your family is with you and has some thinking to do. You are in their hearts. Just think Luke how much love your family has for you. Your dad has worked hard to write about you. Your mom has too. Even Isaiah and Ezekial left notes. The rest of your family is thinking about you too.

We are with you Luke. PS - you got some more teddies. One from Colorado and one from Grandma Barbara.

Rest easy Luke. See ya later gator.

"AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT BEFORE THEY CALL, I WILL ANSWER; AND WHILE THEY ARE YET SPEAKING , I WILL HEAR"

We are praying now specifically that God's answer will come loud and clear for you Gordy, Sue and Pastor Tom. Undoubtedly this is also for the building of faith in all of us that love Luke. Don't focus on the bad report, but keep believing in the miraculous. We serve and AWESOME GOD WHO IS MORE THAT CAPABLE OF REVERSING ANY DAMAGE! We love you all so much and please
know that we continue to lift you all before the throne.
All our love, Shane, Claire, Sofia and Simon xoxoxoxo

Wow! God is good!!! The Lord put in my mind of the song "I've been through enough to know He'll be enough for me", went to Google to type it in hoping to get the lyrics since I couldn't remember all the words, and your sight was the first to pull up. Thanks to "Graul" - whoever you are! & God bless your family to do a complete work in your little boy! He's still a miracle worker!!! I just had a miracle in my body that only God could do & the doctors were amazed! So, keep the faith & never underestimate the power of God! God bless!!!
