Surgery complete

The surgery (Tracheostomy) was just completed and Luke is sleeping in his room. The doctor said the surgery went fine and the antithestic should wear off before long. Once he wakes, they should be able to take him off of the ventilator. Luke will need to remain in the hospital for at least 7 days, this is time for the trach to heal and then have his first trach tube change. I will blog more later.

Thank you Lord for surgeons and tracheostomys. Lord, thank you for little Luke's life. Thank you for nurses and RTs that care for Luke.

I figure you need a little humor laced with hope.

Eight years ago a co-worker and his wife decided they wanted a third child. The third child turned out to be twins. Just prior to their first birthday one of the twins came down with pneumonia. The baby’s condition was so critical Children’s Hosbital gave the parents pagers so they would be present to says good bye to their child. After two weeks of hell, the baby fully recovered. A month later my co-workers wife discovered she was pregnant. What had started as a journey to have a third child resulted in a family with five children. All children are healthy. Parents are proud, happy with no regrets.

Hi to Luke and his family,
I'm still checking in every time I visit the computer, and was pleased to hear that the operation was successful. I keep thinking that little Luke's heart must be so strong - in every way - and enriched by the prayers and love sent to him from everywhere. Best to all of you, and please remember to take care of yourselves.

Thank you Father for protecting precious Luke through this surgery. Father Please hold Sue and Gordy. You know their needs Father. Give them Your hope Lord like only YOU can do. I love you Father. Amen I love you Gordy, Sue and children and will continue to lift all of you before Our Father. My heart is so heavy for all of you tonight. Please remember... man will give medical statistics, God has miracles. A precious friend of mine was cured of stage 4 lung cancer.(diagnosed in Dec.) The Drs. told her there was no hope for this kind of lung cancer. Treatment would only add 3 months to her life at best. When given the results after she woke up from surgery, her husband wept and she looked at the Dr. and said "I believe God can heal me".... She and her husband together chose for her not to do chemo./radiation because of the quality of life she would have. She has two little girls age 7, and 9. So she did some natual medicines. Her last two ct scans showed NO CANCER!!!!!! Man can give you medical statistics God works miracles.
I loved that email I read that said God spared little Lukes life for a reason. Their is great purpose in this little guys life. God is doing, and is going to do mighty things with your family. All to His glory. I love you all, CF in Arizona

Gordy,

As I said...gosh how many days ago...THE LORD IS MY ROCK or as we said it in Mexico...JEHOVA ES ME ROCA...Praise be to his name...I think we need a BIG rock at the church with that passage on it...and maybe one for Luke's room w/a Teddy on it...Will get right to it. How thankful I am Luke's surgery went so well...Didn't have any doubts, tho, with the Lord guiding it all...Am so glad you can all get some much needed rest. The Lord will bring someone to you to help care for Luke. I am not a trained nurse, but can learn anything which would be needed...If there is anything I can do, please let me know...ASAP...

Loving and Praying
